Over the next two years, we crossed paths now and then at parties, always exchanging glances but never quite managing to talk.
Then came a boat party where Luca was DJing a techno set—and fate finally stepped in. Ilja was there, dancing, smiling, and kindly bringing drinks to the booth. After the set, we finally spoke.
